The Side Obturator by NEXITEC, S.L.

Created in 1998 and through years of research, seeking and testing materials, the company NEXITEC, S.L. has developed a new material in a product already known to Flexographic Machine customers, the Side Obturator, seals for Flexographic Printer Closed Chamber Systems. This product had previously only been supplied through flexography machinery producers, and we came to it on hearing the complaints of several printer customers that the product was commercialised at a very high price and does not always fulfil the intended needs of the printers, as in many cases they wore out before the end of the printing work. In fact other printers have been looking for different materials from those provided by machinery manufacturers, and new materials have appeared, but the right one has yet to be found.

With a view to helping our customers, we have achieved a material that is highly resistant to the friction of the Anilox cylinder, a highly flexible-elastic foam that completely seals the inks in the closed chambers. This material already lasts as long, if not longer, than the Brushes, avoiding the need to change before the end of the printing work.

The materials developed in this Side Obturator can be used for all kinds of Flexographic Machines with the Closed Chamber System that use flexible foam seals, and it is already being tested in other rigid obturators with excellent results.

The quality of these Side Obturators has already been seen by many of our customers, who give us a guarantee that the product works properly and with greater durability than those used up to now. The offer price proposed for the product launch is, far below the current price of the product, reducing many customers' expenses in this kind of material by half, thanks to its low cost and smaller wear.

MACHINERY

We continue to investigate with other materials to present an ever stronger product with less friction wear and at significantly lower prices.

NEXITEC, S.L. is also collaborating in commercialising the Brushes, Doctor Blades, of the Swed/Cut trademark by SWEDEV, AB, and we currently deliver them cut to the size of the width of the table of the machine inker at a very competitive price for Photogravure, Flexography and Tampography.

We are currently developing another product, this time for cleaning the Anilox cylinders. The product is presently under research and development in chemical laboratories, and we hope that it will improve the quality of those currently on the market and significantly reduce their sale price. We will make an official presentation of the product as soon as it complies with the community rules of the E.U. and the other compulsory rules of international markets.
